DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee accounting and control activities for the Costa Rica legal entity, ensuring P&L integrity and balance sheet management
- Ensure accurate recording of actual performance for FP&A and central business partnering teams
- Collaborate with Business Services and other functions for timely month-end and quarterly reporting.
- Knowledge of statutory accounts, tax, legal matters, and Free Trade Zone
- Partner with the Head of Country and central business partners for efficient performance management
- Work with non-finance departments and participate in growth projects
- Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
- Recommends strategies meant to assist the organization in meeting its long-term financial objectives
- Oversee and manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modeling tools
- Implement and work with a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reports
- Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
- Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
- Other duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Controlling, Audit, or related finance field; Master’s degree or Big 4 experience is a plus
- Managerial experience in accounting, analysis, and reporting in a global, multi-entity organization.
- Expertise in internal controls and business partnering; adept at handling ambiguity and change
- Skills in designing financial/operational performance measurement systems and KPIs
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills with senior leadership and proactive in problem-solving
- Skilled in IT and data analytics
- Fluent in Spanish and English, with strong verbal and written skills
