The AAPI (American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin) Convention is an exciting venue for interacting with leading physicians, academicians, health professionals, and scientists of Indian origin.
At this event, healthcare professionals nationwide gather to exchange medical advancements and develop health policy agendas. This collaboration also encourages legislative priorities for the coming year.
According to data from the AAPI, physicians who are members of the AAPI represent 10% of all physicians in the United States. However, they service approximately 30% of the US patient population.
A highlight of the event was the release of AAPI’s medical journal, JAPPI, published monthly in collaboration with physicians of Indian origin.
These doctors worked hard during this COVID crisis. After finishing their work, some doctors even provided telehealth services for people in India at no cost. These AAPIs’ efforts directly impact patient outcomes and care in this challenging worldwide health context.
The 2021 AAPI Annual Convention & Scientific Assembly was held at the Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta, GA, from July 2nd to July 5th. The event followed strict CDC guidelines and was limited to 500 attendees.
